These terms are retained to provide and improve our glossary features and to personalize future translations. Extracted Terms are stored separately from your raw transcripts and remain associated with your account until deleted.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects billing information. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Communications: When you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you provide.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Translation count, feature usage, and interactions with the Service.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and unique device identifiers.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and other standard log information.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities.

• Process your translations by transmitting transcripts to a third-party AI provider for analysis; transcripts are not retained following completion of the translation
• Extract, store, and associate technical terms identified from your transcripts with your account for the purpose of building and maintaining your personalized glossary and improving translation relevance

• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests

Important: We do not retain your raw transcripts. Transcripts are transmitted to our AI provider solely to generate your translation and are discarded upon completion. However, technical terms extracted from your transcripts are retained and associated with your account as described above.

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf:

• AI Provider: Processes your transcripts to generate translations. Your transcript content is transmitted to this provider's API and governed by their privacy policy.
• Payment Processor: Handles payment processing for subscriptions. Credit card data is collected and stored solely by this provider.
• Database & Authentication Provider: Hosts our database and authentication services. Account data and glossary terms are stored with this provider.
• Cloud Infrastructure Provider: Hosts our application infrastructure. All web traffic passes through this provider.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

4.3 Business Transfers

In connection with any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.

We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

• Transcripts: Not retained after processing. Transcripts are transmitted to our AI provider solely for the purpose of generating your translation and are discarded upon completion. We do not store copies of your raw transcripts.
• Extracted Technical Terms: Retained on an ongoing basis and associated with your account for as long as your account remains active, or until you delete individual terms or your entire glossary. These terms persist across sessions to support the glossary and personalization features of the Service.
• Account Information: Retained until you delete your account.
• Usage Data: Translation counts and feature usage retained for your account dashboard and billing purposes.

After account deletion, all your data (including detected terms and usage history) is permanently deleted. We may retain certain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Information

You can update, correct, or delete your account information at any time by logging into your account settings or contacting us.

6.2 Data Export

You can request a copy of your data, including your detected terms and account information, by contacting us at contact@tryhmm.com.

6.3 Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data. This will permanently remove your detected terms, usage history, and account information.

6.4 Term Detection

You can manage your detected terms in your account settings. You can dismiss individual terms or clear your entire glossary at any time.

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can usually modify your browser settings to remove or reject cookies.

6.6 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in those messages.
